Data on the seasonally adjusted series show that in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the same quarter of 2021, Gross Domestic Product increased by 5%. Following the inclusion of the estimate of Gross Domestic Product for the fourth quarter of 2022 in the quarterly gross series, the seasonally adjusted series has been recalculated, with volume indices revised from the second provisional version of Gross Domestic Product for the third quarter of 2022 published in the press release of 12 January 2023.
Thus: results for Q1 2022 compared to Q4 2021 have been revised from 101.5% to 101.4%; seasonally adjusted series are recalculated quarterly in line with European practice. According to the current revision policy, quarters 2021-2022 will be revised on a gross series basis as a result of reconciliation with annual data, INS shows.
